

Sara Oliveira (FC Porto / Dolce Vita) set today a new record of the Meeting Internacional do Porto in the 200m butterfly, with a mark of 2:12.71. The FC Porto swimmer also ensured the triumph in the 50 butterfly with a time of 28.18.
Ana Rodrigues (Associação Estamos Juntos) with 'passport' for the European Junior in Belgrade, won the 50 breaststroke with 32.73, below the minimum mark for this competition. Tiago Oliveira (Leixoes), who also have the minimum time for the European junior, was ranked first in the 1500 freestyle with a time of 16:07:43.
There were also four more Portuguese wins: Alexis Santos (Sporting), with 26.53 in the 50 backstroke, Jorge Maia (Famalicão) with 1:52.67 in the 200 freestyle, Adriano Niz (Famalicão) with 2:05:02 in the 200 backstroke, and FC Porto / Dolce Vita, with 1:58.84 in the 4x50 relay feminine styles.
At the end of the first day of competition, the Italian team of Lombardy leads the meeting with 461 rating points. Following is the FC Porto / Dolce Vita with 269 points and the Ille de France with 214 points.
The 29th Meeting Internacional do porto, which allows obtaining minimum times for the next World Championships (24 to July 31 in Shanghai, China) and Juniors (16 to Aug. 21 in Lima, Peru), has participation of 398 athletes (224 men and 174 women) representing 50 teams from Spain, Italy, France, Switzerland, Denmark, Kuwait and Portugal.
This competition, registered in the calendar of European Swimming League (LEN) and the International Swimming Federation (FINA), is organized by the Swimming Association of Northern Portugal (ANNP) and the Municipality of Porto.
